THOROUGHBRED RACING

Our strong team of ambulatory racing vets offers a high-quality and personalised service to the whole thoroughbred racing world. With regular, often daily or even twice daily, visits to some of the leading trainers’ yards in the Newmarket area we are able to cover routine requirements such as vaccinations, dentistry, insurance examinations and identification checks with minimal disruption to the training regime.

We are available to provide routine endoscopy and tracheal wash investigation at your convenience with the tracheal wash being analysed by our own on-site laboratory for prompt results and treatment recommendations.

We can also provide lameness and poor performance investigation (including overground endoscopy, mobile digital radiography and ultrasonography), routine standing surgery and pre-purchase examinations at your yard. If further examination is required the horses can be referred to our own state-of-the-art hospital facilities for investigation.

We offer a service 24 hours a day, seven days a week for emergencies such as colic, fractures or wounds. Out of hours there is always a vet available to speak to you and your call will not be put through to an answering service.

We provide veterinary coverage for all fixtures on Newmarket Racecourses. Our Tattersalls office is open during all Newmarket sales and we also attend all major bloodstock sales in the UK, Europe, America, Japan and the Southern Hemisphere. We travel throughout the UK, Europe and internationally for pre-purchase examinations, second opinions or consultancy.
