- A team of highly qualified and experienced staff operate Newmarket Equine Hospital Laboratory, a state-of-the-art on-site facility equipped with the latest technology and specifically designed to meet the diagnostic requirements of the equine veterinary profession.
- Our fast, accurate and reliable service offers a comprehensive range of tests in all laboratory disciplines. This service is available to veterinary surgeons from other practices, and details of the tests are available on this website or from our referrals office. Samples are also welcomed directly from clients provided they have previously contacted the laboratory to confirm details of the sample and test required.
- Results are promptly forwarded by fax, telephone or e-mail after interpretation by the clinician. Please do not hesitate to contact one of our vets for further discussion or Mark Hillyer BVSc PhD DipECEIM MRCVS (European specialist in equine internal medicine) for a detailed clinical interpretation. Where possible, reference values are given with results.
- The laboratory is HBLB approved for CEM testing.
- From 2010 CEM testing will be available by PCR technology giving same day results.
