New Internal Medicine Consultant Joins The Team

Due to an expanding caseload, we have appointed Hayley Chidlow as an additional Internal Medicine Consultant.

Hayley graduated from Liverpool University Veterinary School in 2011. She then worked in a mixed general practice as an equine ambulatory vet for a number of years before deciding to pursue specialisation in equine medicine.

In 2014, she commenced an equine internal medicine Fellowship at the Hagyard Equine Medical Institute in Kentucky, USA. Having completed this, she moved to the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital to undertake a 3-year Residency Programme. She was awarded Diplomate status by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in July 2019. She has lectured internationally and published in peer reviewed publications.

She will be supporting NEH Partner, Mark Hillyer, and brings a great deal of experience, gained in the USA. Her focus will be in all areas of internal medicine, but in particular gastroenterology and, in the breeding season, foals and broodmares.

Hayley has a particular interest in critical care and is looking forward to working in a state-of-the-art hospital with a sophisticated Intensive Care Unit.
