Move to Newmarket Equine Hospital
We are very proud to announce that we have started moving to the new Equine Hospital just south of the National Stud roundabout. After more than 100 happy years at Reynolds House the new facilities are now ready for occupation with only minor details and landscaping to complete. This weekend, 27th - 28th September 2008, the majority of the equipment will move over to the new Equine Hospital, including the all important computer system, which not only runs the accounts but the imaging sytems as well.
One surgery has been successfully undertaken this week to test the new facilities and routine admissions will commence next week. One surgical suite will remain operational at Reynolds House as a backup but otherwise we expect all departments to be operational at the new site from 29th September 2008. We will now also be known as NEWMARKET EQUINE HOSPITAL, which will avoid the repeated changes with Partnerships in the past.
The New Hospital
Newmarket Equine Hospital will have new telephone numbers (outlined below), however the old Office and Referrals numbers will still work via an automatic forwarding system until well into next year.
ENTRY to Newmarket Equine Hospital will only be via the left hand slip road off the Cambridge Road and through the automatic gates to the site (a plan is enclosed).
EXIT will be left out of the gate and left on to the London Road. If coming from or going south, the roundabout must be used as right turns into and out of the hospital are not allowed.
Some of our intern vets are already living in the Gate Houses and the rest will join them (together with our externship students) after the last case has left Reynolds House. Our new Caretaker Phil Grainger is also in residence just inside the Gate Houses.
We are very proud of the new Equine Hospital and the builders, Kier Eastern have been magnificent throughout the building process. It remains for us to say that we hope the new facilities will offer an improved service for our patients, clients, Vets and staff and please do not hesitate to contact us should you want to come and have a look round.
