Coming Soon! Overland Dynamic Respiratory Endoscope

NEH will shortly have the facilities to scope the airways of a horse as it exercises.  The Dynamic Respiratory Endoscope (DRS) is used to visualise the upper respiratory system of the horse during full exercise, either whilst at a gallop on the heath or being lunged or ridden in the school.

This will allow the investigation of poor performance related to respiratory disorders in all types of horses (Thoroughbred, eventer, showjumper dressage horse etc.) whilst exercising under normal conditions.  The images obtained can then be reviewed frame by frame by our specialists to help determine the best course of management or treatment for the horse.
