New Passport Regulations
New regulations require that your horse's passport is presented to your vet before administration of any medicine.
Most owners will sign the declaration at Part II of Section IX stating that their horse 'is not intended for slaughter for human consumption.' This will enable your vet to treat your horse with a wider range of medicines.
In an emergency situation, if the passport is not presented to the attending vet, the treatment options will be limited.
Please remember to have your horse's passport ready when the vet calls.
