Visiting Students

We encourage final year veterinary students to spend time with our ambulatory service as part of their extra-mural studies. Stud work, horses in training and general practice are all covered but please let us know if you have a particular preference. Places are limited so early applications are encouraged. Externships

Our hospital division offers four week Externships for final year veterinary students. The externs will work alongside the established intern programme and will be given responsibilities for in-patient care under the guidance of the interns. During the four weeks, the externs will also assist with emergency admissions, intensive care and surgery. Work Experience

We also accept school pupils (aged 15 or above) who are interested in a career in equine nursing or veterinary science on work experience placements. These may be part of their formal school work experience or arranged informally during school/college vacations. Students will work alongside the veterinary nursing team in the clinic.
