Remaining proudly independent
At a time when many equine practices have been bought by large corporations, NEH has remained proudly independent. We believe this allows us to continue our legacy of comprehensive, dedicated and personalised care to our clients. As part of this professional culture, we have recently formed close associations with a number of like-minded practices in the UK, Ireland and France.
Berkshire Equine (BE), set up by Simon and Jamie Knapp in 2019, became the first Newmarket Equine Hospital Associated Practice and has gone from strength to strength. Rapid expansion has led to a four-vet team providing veterinary services to some of the best Thoroughbred trainers in the country, and the practice is strong in sports horse and stud work in Berkshire and the wider area. Simon and Jamie have been joined by Luke Hepburn who was previously based with the Newmarket team and Niall Hanly who joined in mid-2021 having previously been working in Melbourne, Australia.
NEH Chantilly has been formed in an exciting collaboration with Lucile Falque, an established and well regarded vet in the Chantilly region. This growing practice covers racing trainers in the heart of French racing. We have worked with Lucile for several years, representing each other’s practices at UK/French sales. We share the same values and standards, and look forward to working even closer together going forward.
Sycamore Lodge Equine Hospital and NEH formed an association in 2022 as Paul Ormond relocated to Ireland and joined forces with Ernan and Clare O'Donnell and their team. Sycamore Lodge Equine Hospital is a well established practice on The Curragh providing first class veterinary care to both Thoroughbreds and non Thoroughbred clients in the area with a full ambulatory and surgical facility. Paul Ormond will continue to develop his interests in all aspects of racing and sales work and will be attending all major European Bloodstock Sales.
We are excited about these ventures with some exceptional vets and are pleased to be able to offer the same top quality veterinary services further afield than our traditional Newmarket base. Please see below for contact details for these practices, alternatively contact the NEH Office.
Berkshire Equine is a progressive independent equine veterinary practice based in Headley, Berkshire set up in early 2019. Please visit their website for more information or contact 01635 243 707 or firstname.lastname@example.org
NEH Chantilly is an Independent Equine Veterinary Practice in the heart of Chantilly in Northern France. We are a team of sharp and passionate veterinarians providing high quality care.
Lucile Falque, the practice principle, started working in Chantilly in 2010, predominantly with racing thoroughbreds. She has a strong interest in orthopedics, physiotherapy and sports medicine. Lucile also attends all the major thoroughbred sales throughout France.
The practice has all the equipment required for a first class, horse side service, including digital radiography, ultrasound, video endoscopy and basic laboratory facilities. We are also able to offer regenerative therapies including IRAP and Prostride, alongside adjunctive rehabilitation therapies such as laser and shockwave.
The association with NEH means that NEH Chantilly clients have full access to NEH specialists for further opinions on cases.
NEH Chantilly is committed to providing first class care to racehorses and sport horses – focusing on the performance and welfare of every horse.
