The thoroughbred industry is at the heart of what we do. With Newmarket as our home, we have been caring for racehorses and breeding stock for over a century, building deep relationships with trainers, stud farms, and owners across the town and beyond. Our thoroughbred team combines daily clinical expertise with an intimate understanding of the racing and breeding worlds, providing a seamless service from the training yard to the sales ring.
We cover all aspects of racing work, caring for thoroughbreds in training in and around Newmarket from the day they enter pre-training to the day they leave the yard. Our racehorse vets are on the yards daily, providing routine health care, performance monitoring, lameness assessment, and respiratory investigation. When problems arise, our ambulatory team works closely with the hospital specialists to ensure rapid access to advanced diagnostics and treatment without disruption to the training programme.
Our stud vets provide comprehensive reproductive and stud medicine services for breeding farms in Newmarket and further afield. Services include mare fertility management, stallion evaluation, artificial insemination, pregnancy monitoring, and neonatal care. Supported by portable diagnostic equipment and our in-house laboratory, our team is available throughout the breeding season — and beyond — to help maximise reproductive success and safeguard the health of mare and foal.
A team of experienced sales veterinarians provides vendor and purchaser services both privately and at all major European bloodstock sales, as well as many in the USA. Our sales vets bring deep expertise in clinical assessment, radiographic interpretation, endoscopic evaluation, and repository management.
